General FAQs
Will there be water/food/beverages available, or do we need to pack in all that we’ll need?

How do I buy the tickets for teens 13-16 (half price)?
Those tix will be available on the website coming soon.
I was wondering what the general feelings toward alcohol (beer / wine) is at the event and if there are there restrictions from bringing it to the camping area? is it served at the venue?
There is no selling of beer or alcohol and we highly discourage it. If you have a beer or glass of wine in your tent and are not ‘walking around with a beer in your hand’ you could probably get away with it. We highly discourage any intoxication and drunkenness. Our event is endeavoring to encourage us all to find lifestyle choices leading to a joyful life without the need of intoxicants to feel ‘high’ but rather to get ‘high on life’ with yoga, music, breathing, ecstatic dance etc.
Greening:
Although in our previous events we have at least recycled, encouraged water bottle usage vs plastic, and so forth, this year we endeavor to do more to make our event as close to a ZERO WASTE event as possible. We encourage you to bring your own water bottle and even plates and utensils if possible. Check back here for more about what we will be planning for this year to reduce our footprint and be as much of an example of how we can walk more lightly on the Earth.
Getting There:
When flying to Maui the main airport is Kahului Airport and the airport code is OGG. It is located The airport in Kahului is about 12 miles or 25 minutes from our beachfront site in Kihei. There are plenty of rental car options but it’s a good idea to try and reserve in advance as it has happened on certain weekends that all rental cars are all rented out. There are a few lower budget rental car options (some call ‘rent a wreck’) such as Kimo’s Renta Car that you can find online.

We will post a link for ride share as we have every year. This will be on here in the coming weeks, probably by Jan 15th
Lodging
Maui has lots of hotel lodging options but we have sweet camping at our beachfront site. If you don’t want to travel with a tent & sleeping bag there are stores on Maui such as Kmart in Kahului (not far from the airport) where you can buy camping gear. There is also a sporting goods store right accross the street from the Kmart for higher end gear. The address for that Kmat is: 424 Dairy Road Kahului, HI 96732. Know that our ocean front site in Kihei is that it is the ‘dry side of the island’ and is unlikely to rain there and the weather is quite warm and sunny. There are plenty of hotels in Kihei if you’re just not that into camping (although it’s a very sweet and recommended experience to be sleeping in paradise on the beach in Maui!). The hotels in Kihei are a bit more expensive then if you chose one in Kahului. For your days on the island before and/or after the festival, If you’re into camping and wanting to save money there is another campground we could recommend on the Lahaina side of the island called Camp Olowalu which charges around $20 per night.
